This would work similar to skill points, 1 skill point per 1,000 levels. But what about something like "super points". You would only be given 1 every 10,000 levels and can spend it on a variety of rewards. But because max level is 50,000 you can only get 5 of them limiting your amount of rewards. And along with it i've made a somewhat diagram of the options

you would have to use the "super points" (the name would have to be changed) to buy slots 2 & 3. And have 10 purchasable upgrades making it so you have to choose which ones you want. (maybe even more than 10) So you would have to decide, do u want to have more upgrades to equip? or more upgrades to use at one time? But to make it more balanced i recommend making it so for example, "Increase zenni intake by 10%" would be the first option in that area, but if you have already bought that upgrade, you could spend your Super Point and get another upgrade (example) "increase zenni intake by 25%". Of course the effects would be stackable, but at the cost of buying slot 2 and/or 3
And perhaps in the end you could get the total affect of the shards to become permanent. example: increase your zenni intake by 100%, which is equal to a shard. Of course there would be many many more options to choose from. But with a limit of 5 points at maximum, you would have to choose
And that brings me to my last point, similar to Ultimate sacrifice, you could convert your US( or UT) points into super points.
I would appreciate anybody's opinion on this.

I dont really understand it, your example was only on zenni. I would like to know more. Its your idea and I think that youd have to implement the whole design or more info to be considered.

the zenni was an example. There would be more options. Gain X% more per level up, same goes for the other stats, and there would be a level one. And there could be a speed one.
The overall max % a single stat would get is equal to how much the respective shard gives. Zenni shard gives 100% zenni up, the max you could get in zenni is 100% MORE. Stacking with the shards making it 200%. With exp it would become 25% + 25% so 50%. And the same thing along the line with the stats. The speed however would be different. It wouldn't just be how fast your character moves. but how fast they perform attacks. EXAMPLE, how many attacks you can do per second, how fast u can use certain ki attacks

I like the attacks one, the exp stuff will be tuned soon I think.
I have a similar idea, but it would be incorporated diferently and much sooner. 5 points, 1 per 10k is rather slow. But we do have something similar but stripped down. Custom Attacks. Think how that could be improved and something more interesting shows up =D Also adding 3 CA total would be good, if they get more custom options.

Yeah, 1 per 5k is good. But whats the system like. You should put the idea in complete detail, that way Razor knows were you are going with it completely and other people can break it up and add to it if it needs it.
Complete Detail. Slots. Points. Their use. The limits. The gains. Everything.
Less work for Razor. More tuning from players.

upgrade description the zenni upgrade increases your zenni intake by 20%, the second upgrade in zenni, 40%, 3rd is 60%, 4th is 80% and the 5th is equal the the boost given by a shard 100%
The same goes for all the other slots, example is exp shard. the first main upgrade is 5%, 2nd 10%, 3rd 15%, 4th is 20% and the 5th is 25% which is equal to the shard buff.
The only requirement is that you CANNOT buy the 100% zenni intake or the 25% more EXP gain without buying ALL the upgrades prior to them in their respective categories.
And because i thought of changing it to 1 super point ever 5K levels, you get a total 10 points, enough to max out 2 categories. And as an added bonus, you start the game with 2 super points.
The last example i want to explain is slots & speed. The slots you just have to spend a super point and then it unlocks the the other slots, so u may equip more than 1 of the abilities. So if you bought the 1st PL, Ki, and DEF. if only had 1 slot u would have to equip 1 of them ONLY. if you had bought the 2nd slot u could equip 2, and same goes for the 3rd slot.
But back to speed. For the fact that there isn't a speed shard, it is rather different. The first upgrade would allow you to use your ki attacks by 0.2 second faster. The second would be 0.4, the third is 0.6 the fourth is 0.8 and the fifth one is 1 second.
Another thing to notice is these upgrades would NOT be stackable completely. You may equip the ki 3 and the def 1 both at the same time, but u cannot equip the ki 3 and the ki 2 at the same time. You may only equip 1 of them, if you want to equip the ki 2, and you have the ki 3, you may but you cannot equip more than 1 of category.
Lastly my original post was misleading, the effects are only partly stack able, if you have a "Increase exp gain by 15%" you CANNOT stack that affect with the prior upgrades that you had to buy before you could purchase the current upgrade. But they ARE stack able with the shards. So if u have a 15% Exp increase, it takes that amount, and if i activate a shard it puts another 25% increase, so you have your 15%, and the shard adds another 25%, making it 40%, but after the shard wears off you go back down to where you were, in this case 15%
EXAMPLE: EXP EXP2 EXP3 EXP4 EXP5 up 5% up 10% up 15% up 20% up 25%
The smart thing would be to equip all of them but you CANNOT. you cannot put EXP in slot 1, EXP 2 in slot 2, and EXP3 in slot 3, you CANNOT do that. You my only select one of them. If you want to choose EXP2, fine, but you cannot put ANY more for that category. I hope this explanation makes sense if not let me know

Makes sence. Seems alot like tenkaichi bud 3 customization, correct? Even tho I like a bit. I try for the game not to be too much afk training and more playing. Wait till you see next update =D and youl understand more. The exp boosts are coming, in a way. I like the whole lowering attack speed thing tho, but we do have a system like it for custom attacks. Even tho they are good, we should extend Custom Attacks a bit more.
Razor, what do you think about the thread?
