Welcome all, to Dragonball GT: Dark Renegade game-play guide. Here, I'll be showing you and explaining on things and how they actually work.
Project started on Jul 05, 2010, DR(Dark Renegade) has been undergoing many updates to improve game-play and players' experience. I'm glad to declare DR as my finest project ever worked on. Nonetheless, let's get to the point. Hold all the questions until you completed this guide.
Character Selection:
When you first log on the game, you'll be instantly presented with several messages on the output(chat box) and several chat messages from several players if possible. You'll also see a picture of SSJ3 Goku staring at you with Shenron as background, along with New, Continue, Delete and Dragonball GT: Dark Renegade tags.
If you already played the game and have save, just click on Continue - otherwise click on New. After clicking on New, there'll be three boxes popping out below the New and they're "slots" to save your characters. Click any one of three slots and you'll be instant moved into Character Selection.
On Character Selection, you'll see Race name with icon right next to it. There're also specialty, which is right below of Race icon. I'll explain what specialty means and why it is important to consider into picking a race. Under specialty, skin color is there for you to pick. Brown, Tan or White are the only available colors on DR. And, right under skin color is hair, which you can pick any style you want from dragonball series.
Specialty:
Specialty is the set of two boosts for that specific race. There are 6 specialties. Listed below are the ones we have on DR:
Power/Train: This gives your race a gain in power boost on stat gains(level ups only). Train part also gives you more boost on tps(training points) gains, based on training methods only.
Ki/Ki Defense: This gives your race a gain in ki and ki defense boost on stat gains(level ups only). This race is also considered as a ki whore(long distance fighter).
Strength/Defense: This gives your race a gain in strength and defense boost on stat gains(level ups only). This race is also considered as a melee whore(short distance fighter).
Race:
There are many races, as many as 18 races, on DR. Soon, there'll be even more races on their way in the future updates. But, right now let's focus on the ones we have.
Android: This is a perm race, with specialties of KI and KI DEF. It has two transformations and it doesn't go to OtherWorld when killed. This race is based on characteristics of Android 16, 17 and 18.
Bio-Android: This is a semi-perm race, with specialties of TRAIN and PL. It has 3 perm transformations and one revertable transformation. This race is based on characteristics of Cell.
Bio-Warrior: This is a perm race, with specialties of STR and DEF. This race is based on characteristics of Bio-Broly.
Changeling: This is a temp race, with specialties of KI and DEF. It has chance to go to King Cold upon dying. This race is based on characteristics of Freeza and Cooler.
Demon: This is a temp race, with specialties of KI and DEF. This race is based on characteristics of Dabura and Janemba.
Dragon: This is a perm race, with specialties of TRAIN and PL. This race is based on characteristics of Omega Shenron.
Galactic Warrior: This is a temp race, with specialties of TRAIN and PL. This race is based on characteristics of Bojack.
Half Saiyan: This is a temp race, with specialties of KI and KI DEF. It also has mystic training from Elder Kai. This race is based on characteristics of Gohan and Trunks.

Majin: This is a perm race, with specialties of KI and KI DEF. This race is based on characteristics of Buu.
Makyo: This is a temp race, with specialties of STR and DEF. This race is based on characteristics of Garlic Jr.
Namekian: This is a perm race, with specialties of TRAIN and PL. This race is based on characteristics of Piccolo.
Saibaman: This is a temp race, with specialties of STR and DEF. This race is based on characteristics of itself.
Saiyan: This is a temp race, with specialties of either KI and KI DEF or STR and DEF, depending on what gene-type you picked. This race is based on characteristics of Goku, Vegeta and Broly.
Tuffle: This is a semi-perm race, with specialties of TRAIN and PL. This is based on characteristics of Bebi.
Done:
When you're happy with your own race, press the done button and you'll be asked for your name. Dragonball-related names are seriously frown upon. Dragonball-related name is definitely a NO-NO! We want you to have creative names, nonetheless no offensive ones or stupid ones. We all want you to be original. After that, you'll be "teleported" into the world of DR. Let's the fun begins!
And so it all begins...:
When you arrive on the world of DR, you'll notice two letters - S and Z - you're standing in middle of. SZ stands for Safe Zone. It's one of few places you can train safely. You may notice several players standing right under you and/or players chatting. If you are in dire need of help, just ask around or ask one of the admins directly. If you want to know which is admin, simply click on Enforcers button or go into Channels tab and look for Online Enforcers verb. You're done, right? Understand everything so far? Right, let's get to the fun and workout part - Training Methods!
Training Methods:
Self Train: This is the slowest exp gain training, but is faster in tps gain training. However, recent update now allows you to rest/self train at same time, making it possible to train while fighting/flying/etc.
Dual Train: This is the fastest exp gain training, but is slower in tps gain training. This also requires you to have another player right next to you to use.
Shadow Spar: This is the fastest exp gain and tps gain training in the game. This also requires you to be active, otherwise you wouldn't be getting anything. This has multiplier of successful arrow hits, but will be reset once you got an arrow wrong. Max of multiplier is 3.
Focus Train: This is the fastest stat gain training in the game. This also requires you to be active, otherwise you wouldn't be getting anything. This has multiplier of successful arrow hits, but will be reset once you got an arrow wrong. Max of multiplier is 3. Gains are based on your level.
Meditate: This is the good way to gain karma, exp and stat all in one package. But, it is only good to use on later on in the game if you're high level fighter - otherwise, it is only good for karma.
Killing: The top fastest exp gain training in the game is to kill anyone, regardless npc, sagas or players.
